The Oxford Story, Scene One

Senator Med Anth stepped outside Magdalen College after viewing the deer park. "My my," he said to his companion, "everyone looks so smashing and British!"

Professor Oxford grumbled. "Well, Senator, if you are going to be our guest here from that place you are from - what is it called again? - oh yes, Providence, in America" (he said this last bit with disdain) "then I suggest you stop saying smashing in a fake British accent."

The Senator, remaining un-phased by the college founded in 1458 and the magnificent stone buildings, gleefully pressed onward to St. Cross College, where a certain American named Isabel was setting up her drab, British graduate room in her drab graduate flat (with a stunning view of the courtyard). Of course everyone else in college was jealous of her: she had prime location housing on the main College site, with access to the hall, the college bar, and the variety of common spaces. The absolute ideal location for an introvert!

[just kidding... or not?]

[harry potter ate here - people like to talk about that]
